Budget 2008 passed by a margin of 114 votes to 67. The 47-vote majority came with JVP abstaining from voting. Anura Bandaranaike left Parliament without voting. Ven Uduwe Dhammaloka, Nandana Gunatilleka voted for the budget. UPFA’s Wijayadasa Rajapakse abstained.
